Kilkenny-based purveyors of power-pop SAVING J have honed their craft and have created their own unique take on a pop & rock sound that’s full of clever hooks and melodic choruses.
The band formed in late 2005 and comprises Sean Redmond (Lead Vocals. rhythm guitar), Paul Hindle (Drums, backing vocals), Liam Redmond (Lead Guitar) and Graham Hynes (Bass guitar).

Saving J’s recent single “Valentine” has already set tongues wagging with the single spending several weeks at the number 2 slot on the well renowned independent download music.ie charts and has received much airplay throughout the country since its release. The single has been reviewed by the Irish Times and Hot Press and Saving J have been touted as “One to Watch” by Hotpress magazine.

“Valentine” is the follow up single to the radio favourite “Bus Stop” which hit the airwaves with a bang in 2007. The success of “Bus Stop” bagged the band a live slot on Ryan Tubridys radio show and overall the band enjoyed a huge level of National and Regional airplay. The track was officially play listed on RTE radio 1, in the Southeast and was well received right across the country. Last year Saving J were selected by Hot Press to perform at Castle Palooza on 4th August 2007 following a nationwide search of unsigned bands. Channel 6 and Cablelink have been airing the video for “Bus Stop” on a regular basis and the band are finalising their video for “Valentine” in the coming weeks.

Saving J have been touring all over the country for the past few years and have captured audiences at key music venues such as Whelans, Crawdaddy, Radio City , The Button Factory, The Village, The Music Factory, The Bailey, The Watergate Theatre, and in recent months toured the college circuit with headlines in University of Limerick, U.C.C.,W.I.T.. The band have appeared on the infamous Balcony TV.com and have recorded for “Live in your living Room” in association with Hot Press, IMRO and Garagelands.

2008 plans to be an exciting year for Saving J with a 4th single scheduled for release in September.
